RCB vs DC predictions and betting analysis: Pitch report
The match between RCB and DC is scheduled on 5th October in the Dubai International Stadium at 7.30pm IST. The Dubai International Stadium has long boundaries with assist to the bowlers. The ball doesn’t come on so easily and the team batting first will have a clear edge as seen in the recent past. The bowlers will have to use variations whereas the batsman will have to take time to settle before going big.
RCB vs DC Predictions and Betting analysis
All the platforms are giving a slight edge to Delhi Capital.
The Toss will be a big factor in Dubai. The Delhi team has no experience of Chasing in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Delhi have chased just once and lost that match. RCB on the other hand have a mixed record.
In Dubai, when one considers only matches in which both teams batted first, the differences are minimal. Therefore a better prediction for the game would be too close to call with the toss playing a major role.
RCB vs DC predictions and betting analysis: Recent form and Head-to-head
RCB's best performances in Dubai have come when batting first - AB De Villiers versus Mumbai Indians, Chahal versus SRH and Padikkal also versus Mumbai Indians. The top end of the batting and the leg break of Chahal are a clear standout for the team.
The only match that RCB lost was against KXIP when the legbreak duo of Murugan Ashwin and Ravi Bishnoi picked 6 wickets between them that included - Aaron Finch, AB De Villiers, Washington Sundar and the entire tail.
RCB appears to have some vulnerability to leg breaks in Dubai. Amit Mishra could play a critical role in this game
As far as DC are concerned, they have always batted first in Dubai. Their top performers include Stoinis, Pant and Shaw. On the bowling side, Rabada has been a top performer. Their pace attack include Anrich Nortje will play a critical role in the match on Monday.
RCB vs DC predictions and betting analysis: Team News
The RCB put up a better all-round performance on Saturday against RR which means that they might go unchanged for the next game.
The batting line-up has always been their strength with the youngster Devdutt Padikkal stamping his authority for the opening slot with three fifties in four games. Aaron Finch has also looked comfortable but needs to get a big score which is long due for the team.
After a string of low scores for the captain, Virat Kohli has finally silenced his critics with a well-made 72 in the last outing. There’s little that is left to say about the team’s savior AB De Villiers who has been in top form and has donned the gloves for the team that has given extra flexibility in the eleven.
Shivam Dubey coming in as finisher has done the job with the bat as well as with the ball ensuring his spot in eleven. Washington Sundar has been highly economical bowling in the powerplay with the new ball and has also given occasional breakthroughs.
The two leggies Yuzvendra Chahal and Adam Zampa have built a great partnership in the middle overs to make sure that they don’t let the opposition run away. The duo of Navdeep Saini and Isuru Udana have been effective but they will have to control the run flow in the death which is still an area of concern. The only change they can try is to bring in Chris Morris or Moeen Ali in place of Adam Zampa.
The Delhi Capitals have a great Indian core in their line up with three youngsters in the top 4.
Prithvi Shaw went berserk in the last game scoring 66 runs in 41 balls and looks quite dangerous. The only concern is Shikhar Dhawan who hasn’t been able to get a breakthrough innings in four games but has all the experience and capability to do it.
Captain Shreyas Iyer led from the front with an 88 off 38 taking the KKR bowlers for a ride. Rishabh Pant has always been an X-factor for the team who is sharp with the gloves and can slog from the word go. While Marcus Stoinis has been a little silent after that match winning knock in 1st game, Shimron Hetmyer hasn’t impressed anyone yet.
The bowling lineup is formidable with one of the world’s best Kagiso Rabada leading the department. Anrich Nortje impressed everyone against KKR when Rabada had an off day and is highly underrated with the variations, hard lengths he possesses. The spin department has Ravi Ashwin and the veteran Amit Mishra who were decent against KKR even when the boundaries were short.
