England won the first two T20 matches with pure dominance to seal the series 2-0. The 3rd T20 will be a chance for Sri Lanka to save themselves from a potential whitewash and to save their pride and honor. Sri Lanka was completely outplayed by the English bowlers in both matches, they couldn't even put up defendable total which their bowlers could defend.
The last match is very important in order to boost up the players confidence ahead of the ODI series. Many also can argue the fact is that Sri Lankan side is way younger than the English experienced side, but even some of the experienced Lankan players couldn't perform as per the expectations. Speaking of England, they have been brilliant in all the departments and have executed their plans perfectly. They would look forward to continuing the momentum and whitewash the visitors.
England vs Sri Lanka: ENG vs SL 3rd T20 Dream11 Predictions: Wicket keeper
Both Jos Butler and Jonny Bairstow were part of Playing XI for 1st T20 but he was rested for the 2nd game. Butler scored a brilliant 68 not out of 55 deliveries in the 1st T20. He may be considered for 3rd T20 and thereby providing rest to Bairstow.
Sri Lanka will also either choose Kushal Perera or Dickwella. Perera has been decent with the bat but it is more likely Dickwella will keep as he did in the second match. Dickwella also needs to bat well as a top order batsman to give the team a solid start which they did not get in the first two matches.
England vs Sri Lanka: ENG vs SL 3rd T20 Dream11 Predictions: Batsmen
The batting line of England did seem good in both the matches; however, they are yet to chase a big total. Jason Roy looked in a great touch in the first T20 as he scored a quick 36 runs. Either Butler or Malan could open with him and they both are hard hitting batsman.
The middle also looks in a great form with captain Eoin Morgan leading the charge as a match winning batsman. Though the middle did not face any real threat yet that is no guarantee for taking things granted. Livingstone was phenomenal in the second match as he was awarded the Man of the Match after scoring 29 off 26 balls and taking bowling economically.
Sri Lankan batting has been a complete mess as of now. The top order has completely failed especially Fernando and Gunathilaka who are senior players of the team. Fernando scored 0 and 6 in both the matches while Gunathilaka scored 3 and 19 in both the matches.
Perera and Mendis did try in both the occasions scoring 20s and 30s but could not convert into a big innings. And lastly the whole middle order collapsed from de Silva to Hasaranga no one scored in double digits.
Shanaka scored 50 off 44 in the first match but didn't get any support.
