Best Chief Minister in India, 8th July, 2021: According to the latest Ormax poll, MK Stalin has moved to the top position amongst best Chief Ministers in India pushing Pinarayi Vijayan to 2nd spot. Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan topped the list of Best Chief Minister in India last month.
Ormax released their poll for the Best CM in India for the month of June. The poll has rated Chief Minister MK Stalin as Best Chief Minister while Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan is in second position with Odisha CM in 3rd. Naveen Patnaik is followed by Himanta Sarma of Assam and Mamata Banerjee of West Bengal. Four out of the top 5 Chief Ministers won the May assembly elections indicating a honeymoon effect. Usual Top performing Chief Ministers Naveen Patnaik and Yogi Adityanath are in the Top 6. Jagan Reddy who topped two months ago has now slipped to 9th rank.
Prashnam released a poll recently of Chief Ministers of 13 states and found that the top 2 performers were Uddhav Thackeray and Shivraj Chauhan. However, the survey did not cover any of the Top 5 Chief Ministers from the Ormax Survey

1. MK Stalin, 68% up 6%
In May, MK Stalin shared 2nd position with Odisha CM. For the month of June he has climbed to the top position with a 6% increase in his approval rating.
2. Pinarayi Vijayan: 67% up 2%
LDF under the leadership of CM Pinjarayi Vijayan registered a massive win in the recently concluded Kerala election. Last month he was in 1st position in the list of Best Chief Ministers in India. This month he has been rated as 2nd Best CM in India.
Last month he gained 11% in his popularity rating and this month he gained 2%.
3. Naveen Patnaik, 63%, up 1%
Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik after making his entry as Best Chief Minister for April, moved down in the ranking in May as 2nd Best CM in India. For June he gained 1% in his popularity and is in 3rd position.
Naveen Patnaik has an asset worth Rs 64.98 crores.
4. Himanta Biswa Sarma, 60% up 2%
After taking over as Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma has made his entry in the Best Chief Minister in India list. He wasbeen rated as 3rd Best Chief Minister in India in May and this month he is in 4th position.
5. Mamata Banerjee, 58%, up 1%
Mamata Banerjee has been elected as Chief Minister of Bengal for the 3rd consecutive time. Despite 10 years of anti incumbency, TMC won more than 200 seats in Bengal.
Her ranking saw a massive rise last month as she was placed at 4th position and this month she moved one rank down and is rated as 5th Best CM in India.
6. Yogi Adityanath, 54%, up 8%
For the first time in last 5 months Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lost his top position as Best Chief Minister in India April. For May his rating saw a 7% decline but in the month of June he has gained 8% in his popularity rating.
He is placed at 6th position for this month
7. Arvind Kejriwal, 52%, up 8%
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal approval rating was 44% in May but this month he has gained 8% in his approval rating.
This month he is at 7th position with 52% approval rating.
8. Shivraj Chouhan, 51%, up 9%
Shivraj Singh Chouhan who was shared the No 1 spot with UP CM as Best CM in India in January lost his top spot last April.
In May he furthur lost 6% in his rating and is was placed at No. 12 position. But for June he has gained 9% in his rating and is at 8th position.
8. Jai Ram Thakur, 51% up 3%
The Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh made his new entry into Best Chief Minister of India list in the month of January and last month he had was ranked 6th spot.
This month he has gained his rating but the ranking went down from 6th to 8th.
9.Uddhav Thackeray, 47%, up 2%
Uddhav Thackeray was ranked 5th in April month's survey report but last month he lost his ranking and has moved to 8th spot. This month he ranking saw a decline but popularity saw rise of 2%.
He is at 9th position this month.
9. Y S Jagan Reddy, 47%, down 10%,
Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jagan lost a total 10% in his rating this month. He was at 4th position for the month of May. For June he has been pushed to 9th position.

10. Pramod Sawant, Rating 47%, up 4%
Goa Chief Minister made his entry in the list of Top 10 Chief Ministers in India in January when he was ranked 7th along with Telangana and Karnataka Chief Ministers. In May after losing 7% in his popularity rating he was rated as 10th Best Chief Minister in India.
This month he moved to 9th position with an increase of 4% in his popularity rating..
11. Ashok Gehlot, 45%, down 8%
Rajasthan Chief Minister lost 8% in his approval rating this month and from 9th position last month this month he has moved to 11th position.
From 9th in February he was at13th position in March. In month of April he breaked into Top 10 list and since then his ranking has seen a rise.
11.Nitish Kumar, 45%, up 7%
Bihar Chief Minister Nitisk Kumar who was continuously losing his popularity lost massive 10% and was at 13th position last month.
This month he gained 7% and is at 11th position.
12. Vijay Rupani: 44% , up 6%,
Gujarat's Chief Minister saw an unexpected rise in his popularity in April. He was rated as 2nd Best Chief Minister among the CM's of Indian states. But last month he has lost his ranking once again.
Last month he lost 9% and was tied at 13th position with Nitish Kumar. This month with 6% gain he is at 12th position.

12. Bhupesh Baghel: 42% up 9%
Bhupesh Baghel gained massively in January and February. However, in March his rating and ranking both saw a massive decline.
From 4th position he was ranked at 12th position and from 51% rating he lost 7%. Last month he was at 15th position. This month with 9% gain he is at 12th position.
13. BS Yeddyurappa: 40% up 10%
Karnataka CM BS Yedyurappa has been constantly loosing both rank and rating. Last month his rating saw 7% decline and was at 16th spot.
This month with 10% gains he is at 13th position.
14. K Chandrasekhar Rao, 36% down 7%
Telangana CM has lost both in rank and his popularity rating went from 8th to 10th position last month. This month with 7% decline he is at 14th position.
15. Hemant Soren, 32%, down 3%
Jharkhan CM Hemant Soren shared 9th position with Rajasthan CM in the month of February and in March he shared 13th position with Rajasthan CM. In April he lost 3% in his popularity rating but gained in ranking. He was ranked at 11th position.
Last month he was at 14th spot with 35% rating. This month he is at 15th position with 32% approval rating.
15. ML Khattar: 32%, up 4%
Haryana CM made a big leap in his position in February month by gaining 4% approval rating. He was rated as 8th Best CM in India. In March he was at 15th position with 39% approval rating. Last month with 1% increase in rating he was at 18th position. This month with 4% jump he is at 15th position.
An Independent MLA has withdrawn support to the Khattar Government to protest against the handling of Farmer's protests.
16.Captain Amarinder Singh: 30% up 3%
Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh is the most unpoular in the list of Best Chief Minister in India. This month he gained 3% in approval rating.
Amrinder Singh government has allowed farmer's sell their produce outside the APMC thereby notifying the farm laws despite his state farmers being engaged in protest against the bill. He has lost a lot in approval rating.
