A 16-year-old TikTok star Siya Kakkar committed sucide, the age at which people are unable to differentiate between Good and Bad. However, the fight against Coronavirus and lockdown may not have been easy for stars to handle. Few days back, Sushant Singh Rajput, an inspiration to most of the youths committed suicide. A question arises, are the reel life stars too weak to handle the real life pressure? Or is it the fear of Coronavirus and lockdown making humans mentally weak?
It is a known fact none wants to die and choosing death over life requires a reason 100 times stronger than the reason to live. Since the call of lockdown many Bollywood stars made their way towards heaven. Few committed suicide, few died due to pre-existing disease and few became victim of COVID19. However, what concerns the youth is the suicide of those people whom they look upon as an inspiration. Suicide of a star kills one body, but along dies the hopes of 1000s or may be millions who admire them and dream of becoming like them in future.
Siya Kakkar, the social media sensation committed suicide on June 25 at her residence in Delhi. The reason behind her death is still unknown. Siya Kakkar's manager Arjun Sarin confirmed the news of her death. The girl had over 1.1 million followers on TikTok and her last video was posted on Wednesday evening that is 24th of June. The news was reported by Bollywood photographer Viral Bhayani on his social media accounts. The post read " Sad news 16 year old sweet tik-toker @siya_kakkar died by suicide . Before publishing this I spoke to her Talent management agency head Arjun Sarin who just spoke to her last night for a song collaboration and he says she was in a good mood and perfectly alright. Even he has no clue what went wrong that she had to go this way. You go through her videos and you can she was so good in her content, it's really sad that she chose this path. If you are feeling depressed please dont do this"
When Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide, nepotism in Bollywood was blamed for his extreme step. But was this reason a strong enough to kill his zeal to live. Today a 16-year-old kid committed suicide, now what is to be blamed. Her career did even start but one thing that we ignore is the pressure, the pressure of proving self the best. She was young and had a long way to go but make her feel like a star may have been the biggest mistake. May be someone in her age don’t require public attention. Once this happens a pressure building starts and this leads to a fight that a young kid starts fighting, a fight to be the best and where failure becomes no option.
The 16-year-old kid is now free from all the fights. She is free from all the social and mental battle. She is gone, gone forever but she leaves behind a question and fear in parents who children are young. There will be no end to suicide unless there is a change in priority of society. Every soul has its own purpose, forcing someone to be someone who he/she isn’t creates a mental pressure. Moreover, trying to please society creates a void in life, let go everything, life is beautiful. Killing self is not why we were born, money, fame are just a small part of life in the same way struggle too is just a small part of life. Don’t quit, hang in there life will become meaningful. Rest in Peace Siya, you may not have realised the pain that you leave behind among your parents and the one who cared for you
