Impact on Assembly Elections 2020 and 2021

Looking at the data above and multiple other suveys, AIADMK is in serious trouble in Tamil Nadu. Having received a beating in the Lok Sabha election and an ordinary performance in Local Elections, the AIADMK has little time to make a comeback for the election in 9 months time.

Mamata and Nitish Kumar have a tough task ahead with Mamata in serious trouble owing to her own leadership, average performance on COVID and the lingering impact of the Cyclone Amphan. Our own opinion poll is predicting BJP will end up winning anywhere between 100 and 130 seats indicating a very tough election for Mamata Banerjee. 

In the survey itself Vijayan and Sonowal are in a relatively comfortable zone, however the survey is a month old. Things have changed dramatically in kerala owing to the smuggling scandal.

When we compare this survey with our updated crowd's wisdom, there are some similarities - Naveen, Yogi Adityanath, KCR, BSY are doing well in both exercises. EPS is doing poorly in both the exercises. Nitish is doing much better in the Crowdwisdom360 Opinion Poll. 

Overall, the continuous publication and tracking initiated by Ormaxe Media is the 3rd such survey and increases accountability of Chief Ministers across the country.  Approval ratings have a strong linkage to re-election and ordinary ratings should push CMs to focus harder on governance issues that really matter. With a tight economic situation, throwing freebies will not be easy. CMs across the country will have to work harder and smarter to keep their citizens happy.
