DC vs SRH Predictions and betting : Recent form and head-to-head
DC looked like they were the team to beat in the first half, but the latter half didn’t aid their cause as they somehow scrapped into the second spot in the table with 8 wins in 14 games. But their issue was that they had lost 4 games before that crucial win against RCB in their last game.
Those losses have come to bite them as the batting lineup has lost a bit of confidence whereas the bowlers are being taken for runs. This was clearly evident against MI when the top order failed miserably without a run on the board.
If they have to stand a chance on Sunday, it is important for their batsman to play quality cricket which has to be backed up by their strong bowling lineup that has looked out of sorts in the last few games.
It’s safe to say that SRH have been going in with their business amidst all the buzz for the other teams with some consistent and crunch performances time and again to get the team across the line. They were at a stage in the tournament where they lost a super over against KKR and failed to chase 126 in Dubai and looked like they were heading back home.
But their belief has been so strong that they manage to win last three games of the league stage to keep themselves in the hunt. After that dominating win against MI, they sealed a top 4 spot in the table with a chance to lift their 2nd title. They scored a formidable victory against Royal Challengers Bangalore in the eliminator and are two wins away from their big win.

DC vs SRH Predictions and betting : Squads comparison
Top order: SRH > DC
There’s little doubt that SRH top order has carried the side in most of their chases. The skipper has been in the forefront for the side with 546 runs in 15 innings at a strike rate of 135.14.
Wriddhiman Saha was a great asset to the team and would be hoping to come back to the side after he missed out against RCB. Saha has so far scored 214 runs at 139.86 in 4 innings and would want to fire on Sunday.
Manish Pandey at 3 has been the bridge to the middle order and has so far scored 404 runs in 14 innings.
On the other hand, the top order of DC have found themselves in a sticky situation with some poor starts in the recent games. Shikhar Dhawan has been their top performer and needs to get his team off to a flyer with 525 runs in 15 innings at 144.23.
There has been little support from his partner Prithvi Shaw who has been abysmal for the whole season with 228 runs at an average of 17.53 in 13 games. Ajinkya Rahane will have to find his feet and score some quick runs. He has the experience and has to step up on a big occasion like this.
Middle order and all-rounders: SRH > DC
In yesterday’s game, Kane Williamson proved yet again that he is a class act when he won the game for the side. He has been the savior for the side with 250 runs in 10 innings at a strike rate of 130.20.
The likes of Priyam Garg and Abdul Samad can strike big sixes but they haven’t really played in crunch situations for the team. The youngsters will have to assume more responsibility in the coming game.
Jason Holder at 6 has been golden for the side with so many valuable runs in the middle and most importantly his impact with the ball. The West Indian skipper has 13 wickets in 6 games with a wicket on every 11th delivery that has made SRH dangerous.
For DC, the skipper Shreyas Iyer has failed to produce big knocks despite being the second highest run scorer for the side. Rishabh Pant has been below par and needs a pep talk to up his confidence. He currently has 285 runs in 12 games at an unimpressive strike rate of 109.61 and is yet to score a fifty for the side this season.
Marcus Stoinis has won games for the team but needs some support from the other end. The Aussie player has 314 runs at a strike rate of 150.23 and is slotted as the finisher in the side.
Bowlers: SRH = DC
Despite losing so many bowlers due to injury, the SRH still come off as a team with a strong bowling unit, the reason being the way they have groomed their domestic talent.
The Indian pacers T Natarajan and Sandeep Sharma have both taken 16 and 13 wickets respectively at an economy less than 8 combined. They have made sure that there is no weak link in this bowling unit. Jason Holder has been of big help with crucial breakthroughs since his SRH debut while Rashid Khan has time and again won it for the team.
The Afghan spinner has 19 wickets at an exceptional economy of 5.30 in 15 games for the side. Shahbaz Nadeem who plays the second fiddle has also been economical along with 5 scalps in 6 games.
As far as DC is considered, it all comes down to how their lead pacers perform on Sunday. Kagiso Rabada was the best bowler in the tournament for most of the part except for the last few games where he was taken for cleaners. It is of prime importance for Rabada to increase his tally of 25 wickets with a good spell.
Anrich Nortje will have to start getting his lines and lengths after an off day against MI. The Proteas pace has so far taken 20 wickets but needs to fire on a big day against SRH.
R Ashwin did his job against MI by taking out Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard and the team would be hoping that he can take out David Warner in Qualifier 2. The off spinner has 13 wickets at an economy of 7.50 and has to continue the rhythm he is currently in.
Axar Patel who accompanies Ashwin has been their most economical bowler going at just 6.46 in 3 games along with 8 scalps to his name. The result will directly depend on how DC’s bowling unit come out on Sunday.
